About Angela and Willow
Hello! I am Angela and I am a senior in the Colorado State University Art Education Program, I have a double major in fine arts painting and a minor in English. I am Fort Collins native who is passionate about oil painting, being outdoors, cycling, yoga, and collecting minerals. I currently teach painting classes at Pinot's Palette. Through CSU, I have had the opportunity to do practicum with students from Preston and Lesher Middle Schools and now Polaris! Additionally, in the previous semester I taught a three-dimensional art class for students with different cognitive and physical abilities called Artistic Abilities.
I was inspired to pursue studying education while I was tutoring at a K-8 school for Reading America in Brooklyn, NY. Supporting students in becoming confident learners and creative thinkers though art, is who I want to be as an educator.

Hello! I am Willow Brook and I am a Colorado native with an enthusiasm for life! I spent a year at the University of Northern Colorado studying Art Education before studying studio art in Florence, Italy and traveling Europe. After completing my second year, I spent the next summer teaching English in Japan before happily transferring to Colorado State and adding a minor in Global Environmental Sustainability. I have been teaching yoga since I completed my training in 2013 and currently teach at Old Town Yoga Studio.
My art teachers were my role models growing up and having the space to express myself artistically allowed me to thrive in school and continues to serve as a form of sanity in a sometimes chaotic world. I am excited to work at Polaris this semester and encourage the ownership of student learning through artwork.
In my free time out in the world you can find me practicing yoga, playing music, going to the monthly ukulele jam, drawing on people with henna, preparing delicious and nutritious food, and being with the people I love!
